APLA: Reimagining Your Leadership
“The Power Lives in Your Resume ” (March 7, 2023)




Targeted Audience: Assistant Principals, Dean of Instructions and Curriculum, Principals and Interns

(Participants for the Academy are designated by their District Office)

Leaders today will be called upon to demonstrate a variety of skills that address demands as mandated by the state. Assistant Principals must have cutting-edge professional knowledge and skills to ensure exemplary achievement for all students in the 21st-century schools.

Through a cooperative effort between your district and Region 10 ESC, you have an opportunity to enhance your leadership skills by going beyond traditional campus administrator training. By committing to Region 10 Educational Service Center’s Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APLA), you can:

  • participate in an analysis of core leadership strengths

  • receive training from nationally recognized consultants and superintendents in the field of education an leadership

  • explore the latest research-based resources, literature and articles 

  • interact with outstanding professionals for reflection, dialogue and problem solving

Note: The cost for Charter Schools/Districts/Private Schools who have not purchased the Region 10 Administrative Services Package and non-Region 10 participants is $1,250.00 per person.

Resume Writing & Interviewing

In this entry-level resume course and interview class, you will update your resume to highlight accomplishments and leadership skills that demonstrate your passion, drive and preparation as an administrator candidate based on best practices. You will also take your skills to the next level with the opportunity to build an online resume. In addition, live role-play will help you hone your interview skills. We will dig into the rationale of interview questions and how to best prepare for an interview.
