Social Studies (All Grade Levels)
Forgotten Voices in History- Voting Rights

This Social Studies professional learning opportunity will provide support with implementing the Social Studies TEKS, research-based instructional strategies focused on inquiry, historical thinking and future-ready learning and access to quality resources targeted to provide support for all grade levels.

Important Session Information:

The history you hear depends on who is telling the story. History is about perspective and point of view. Join us for all four sessions or sign up individually as we look at digital resources for uncovering forgotten history. Each session will feature a different topic.  Topics this season include:

  • 1/12 - Voting Rights (Presented by the CATO Institute)
  • 2/9 - Voices from the Texas Revolution (Presented by Dr. Andrew Torget, UNT)
  • 4/13 - Jewish Americans (Presented by the Institute for Curriculum Services)
  • 5/4 - Aztec History (Presented by Dr. Alex Hidalgo, TCU)
