This session will cover the content for the following competencies:
Competency 9- Strategies For Creating a Multicultural Learning Environment
Competency 10- Advocating for ESL Students, Families and Community.
In this session the participant will understand factors that affect ESL students’ learning and learn to implement strategies for creating an effective multicultural learning environment as well as learn how to serve as an advocate for ESL students and facilitate family and community involvement in their education.
This is a series of 10- 1 hour sessions. You will need to register for each session individually. This series provides the flexibility to sign up for each session in the series, or only to those sessions the participant feels will be more beneficial as he/she prepares to take the ESL certification exam.
