Texas OnCourse College and Career Readiness Curriculum




Counselor Initiative and Student Support (CISS) is a cooperative designed to provide high-quality services, resources and training.  CISS will serve as a vital school counselor resource with opportunities to network for discussions related to best practices, cutting edge research-based programs, and the latest updates from the Texas Education Agency regarding school counselor roles and responsibilities.


Important Session Information:


Texas OnCourse, in conjunction with TEA, has developed a college and career curriculum for middle schools.  This session will provide an overview of our curriculum guides, implementation rubric, the curriculum, and our Texas OnCourse Academy PD. This session is great for Middle School counselors, administrators or educators implementing college and career readiness curriculum. Participants will leave with information to access to our curriculum, administrator implementation guide, educator curriculum guide, implementation rubric, and all Texas OnCourse professional development tools and resources. The curriculum addresses both HB 18 and 1026 and the Chapter 127 TEKS for Career Development.
