Beginning Welding Instructors and Advanced Welding Instructors are invited to attend TEA IBC Welding Instructor Training through a convenient and innovative virtual training opportunity. Teachers MUST be prepared to complete a virtual, hands – on welding certification test on day 2.  Each attendee will be scheduled to complete their welding certification via zoom on July 8, 2021.  Unfortunately, there are no exceptions for this requirement of the training.   Each instructor should make sure they have downloaded the latest version of ZOOM

Day 1 -  8 HRS

• A quick review of the current TEA Accountability List and brief overview of licensure documents:
• AWS D1.1, AWS D9.1, API 1104, AWS SENSE

• A quick review of weld test lesson plans for basic AWS D1.1, AWS D9.1 welder certification and an overview of the certification process. (website, new application process)
• A review of the AWS system of welding symbols and complex joint design
• New international online cutting torch curriculum and certification process

Day 2 -  8 HRS

GTAW (TIG) welding of stainless steel and aluminum

• A review of the advanced weld test lesson plans for structural fillet and groove welding plate and pipe
• A review of AWS D1.1 Groove welded plate inspection and destructive testing for welder certification.
• Plate preparation and cutting of beveled angles using a track torch

Out of Region Participants - $400.00
