This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

This course details the accountability Title III, Part A funded local educational agencies (LEAs) are held to while providing services for immigrant children and youth. LEAs that experience an unexpected increase in the number or percentage of immigrant student population must be prepared to provide activities focused on enhancing instructional opportunities for this population and to ensure state academic standards can be met. This session is designed to provide a collaboration space for LEAs to provide and share resources and tools to assist them in meeting the needs of their immigrant/newcomer students.
