Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) New Teacher Expedition is specifically designed to meet the needs of teachers beginning their career serving ECSE students whether that is in a self-contained, inclusion co-teach or inclusive setting. This also includes teachers within their first three years in the ECSE classroom. ECSE New Teacher Expedition is a four session strand which includes information on best practices, adapting the Texas Pre-K Guidelines to meet the needs of all young learners, writing standards based IEPs, Specifically Designed Instruction, differentiation, inclusion, and communication using visuals. At the end of each session, resources that teachers can use immediately in their classroom will be provided. Teachers must be in attendance to receive the resource for that day.
