Position boards can be utilized to teach prerequisite skills used in math, reading and science to students with complex needs. Participants will learn how position boards might be beneficial for students learning early concepts such as left/right, above/below, patterns, and object permanence. Materials will be available for participants to make a small position board to take back for use in their classroom.
This session is applicable to special education teachers, teachers of students with visual impairments, and orientation & mobility specialists.
