Gifted and talented students span all cultures and socioeconomic groups. Yet schools nationwide struggle with the challenges of identifying and serving culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) gifted students, as well as students from poverty and students with twice exceptionalities, who come to school with limited background knowledge, experiences, and support. This session will address how we can help find those students and give them the academic support and challenges they deserve. This is a blended course, with a live webinar and asynchronous activities you will explore and complete on your own, to submit for credit.

To receive six hours of professional development credit, it is necessary to attend the live webinar and submit the specified, electronic proof of self-paced learning. Content will be shared via Google Site and a Google form with attached work will be turned in for credit to be granted. There is no partial credit for this course.

All coursework must be completed and submitted by July 31, 2020 and certificates will be posted on your Region 10 Transcript on August 6, 2020.
