Migrant Identification and Recruitment for Administrators 2020-2021




The Administrators’ Responsibilities & Resources workshops for the school year will highlight the responsibilities administrators have in the identification process of migrant children in Texas. In addition, the session will provide explanations regarding the Service Delivery Plan, the PFS Implementation process, and the eligibility validation inherent in the ID&R practices, etc. The identification and recruitment of migrant students is a STATE REQUIREMENT. Hence, each district needs to attend an annual training provided by the ESC.  


Important Session Information:


The Administrators’ Responsibilities & Resources workshops for the 2019-2020 school year will highlight basic information regarding the responsibilities that administrators have in the identification process of migrant children in Texas. In addition, the session will provide explanations regarding residency verification, quality control, and eligibility validation inherent in the ID&R practices. The identification and recruitment of migrant students is a STATE REQUIREMENT. Hence, each district needs to attend an annual training provided by the ESC.  All participants will receive a certificate of attendance. For your convenience the sessions have been developed in order to support the knowledge base of a new administrator to the Migrant Education Program (0-3yrs) and the knowledge base of the veteran administrator to the MEP (4yrs +)
