Building Capacity and Strengthening Partnerships for Family Engagement

Parents want their children to learn and succeed in school, but they may not know how best to help them. This session will provide training and support to school districts, charter schools, private schools and families to help strengthen home-school partnerships and help students succeed. Capacity building is the process of building the knowledge, skills, and confidence of all individuals who support the student. In the context of family engagement, capacity is built among three key groups of partners: families, educators and community organizations.
