Fine Arts
Fine Arts Foundations: What do I Teach? Backward Design and the Fine Arts TEKS

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

This face-to-face session will not be taking place.

When students, parents and administrators ask you what students will be learning in your course, what do you say? This session is designed for new Fine Arts teachers who are looking for survival skills and for veteran teachers who want deeper understanding of backward design and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Participants will leave with an understanding of the backward design process and how to use the TEKS to determine the desired results for learning and what acceptable evidence of learning looks like in a Fine Arts classroom.

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT:

  1. FINE ARTS/LOTE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION.
  2. NON-FINE ARTS/LOTE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $150.00.

DISCOUNTS WILL BE REFLECTED AT CHECKOUT.

If paying by purchase order, please email a copy of purchase order to mary.matzek@region10.org or fax a copy of PO to Mary Matzek at (972) 348-1395.
