Fine Arts
Foundations: Designing Instruction with Student Choice and Voice in Mind

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Lesson design can make or break whether or not students achieve the skills and knowledge laid out in  the Fine Arts TEKS. In this workshop, participants will examine the Fine Arts TEKS and research on effective lesson design and differentiated instruction. After reflecting on learning, educators will work collaboratively in discipline-specific clusters to evaluate past successes and challenges with planning and develop a strategy to improve their lesson design with a focus on differentiating instruction to offer students choice and voice in the classroom.
