Fine Arts
Field Trip to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Come learn on location in the Dallas Arts District!  We will begin the tour at the Nasher Sculpture Center and we will walk to the Dallas Museum of Art.  Educators will obtain new information on the content of current exhibitions.  In addition, there will be planned question and answer sessions with museum staff regarding careers in the fine arts.  Participants will walk away with fresh ideas on how to develop instruction that preps students for careers in the dynamic areas of the arts!

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers appropriate for cool museum temperatures and very warm outside temperatures.  Attendees should be prepared to pay for parking downtown.  Everyone is encouraged to park in the garage closest to the venues for the track they select.  Instructions regarding schedule and other details will be emailed the week prior to the event.

There are two price tiers for this event:

  1. Members of the Fine Arts/LOTE Cooperative receive FREE registration.
  2. R10 teachers and Out of Region teachers who are not in the  Fine Arts/LOTE Cooperative pay $50.

If paying by purchase order, please email a copy of purchase order to Mary Matzek at mary.matzek@region10.org  or fax a copy of PO to Mary Matzek at (972) 348-1395.
