This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.  


Important Session Information:


***For participants whose district is not a part of the Regional Cooperative Services, the charge is $150.00. Payment must be received before Day 1***To receive full credit you MUST attend all 3 scheduled days***   

Day 1 will be spent defining and clarifying the roles and responsibilities of an Instructional Coach, differentiating from the role of an administrator, conducting a self-assessment, reviewing coaching models, goals, and plans, as well as practicing foundational skills of listening and communicating for effective coaching.

Day 2 is focused on communication skills. Time will be spent studying excellent communicators, exploring & practicing the art of verbal and nonverbal communication, ongoing role playing with complex coaching scenarios, and further data analysis of constituents using deeper layers of tiering metrics. Emphasis will be on communication and understanding how to support alignment as well as authentic engagement in the classroom. This training will incorporate a flipped learning model in which participants will review an online component in advance to the training to maximize face-to-face learning opportunities.

Day 3 is focused on time management. Time will be spent on research analysis of the effectiveness of teacher PD, leadership strengths assessment, calendar analysis, alignment with administrative goals, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for growth, developing a professional development plan, and intentional networking for collaborative partnerships and mentorship. Emphasis will be on time management strategies, reflection, and planning for second semester needs.
