LOTE
LOTE for Administrators: You CAN Identify Best Practices and Help Teachers Grow!

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Ni hao.  ¿Cómo estás?  Sa va?  You might not understand every language in your LOTE department, but YOU CAN identify best LOTE practices and help your teachers set goals for growth.  This session is geared for principals who work with LOTE teachers.  This learning experience offers a crash course in the second language acquisition, the LOTE TEKS and high leverage teaching practices in the World Language classroom.  Participants will participate in a model LOTE lesson taught in a different language, and they will receive materials that will help them support their LOTE teachers and students.

Please bring a fully charged laptop.

There are two price tiers for this event:

  1. Members of the LOTE/Fine Arts Cooperative receive FREE registration.
  2. R10 teachers and Out of Region teachers who are not in the LOTE/Fine Arts Cooperative pay $75.00.

If paying by purchase order, please email a copy of purchase order to Mary Matzek at mary.matzek@region10.org  or fax a copy of PO to Mary Matzek at (972) 348-1395.
