Executive Function for School Based OT and PT Practice

Are you ready to Prime the Mind for Action? Peggy Morris, OTD, OTR/L, BC will discuss and provide effective tools & strategies that can be used to enhance executive functions in students. The session will define executive function, review evidence on executive function development, and look at how to evaluate and provide interventions to enhance executive function.

Important Session Information:


Executive function skills allow us to control and coordinate cognitive abilities in order to pay attention and complete tasks. Peggy Morris, OTD, OTR will define Executive Function and examine its development in children. Agenda includes evaluation and intervention strategies for OTs, PTs and classroom teachers, case studies, and data collection. Peggy Morris has presented at numerous national conferences including the 2018 AOTA Children and youth Specialty Conference and Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy Annual Conference.

This training is free to employees of Region 10 schools. Audience: OTs, COTAs, PTs, PTA and teachers.   Location: Richardson ISD, Professional Development Center, 701 W. Beltline Rd, Richardson, Tx 75080  (Auditorium).
