Librarians Explore West End Resources

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

We will start our exploration with two hours at the Sixth Floor Museum starting at 10:00 at the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza which chronicles the assassination and legacy of     President John F. Kennedy; interprets the Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza, and presents contemporary culture within the context of presidential history.  During your time at The Sixth Floor Museum, you’ll have a chance to tour the permanent exhibit, visit the Museum’s Library, explore all the resources available to you and your students, and meet the Museum’s Educator and Librarian/Archivist and share with them what they can do to help you and the teachers at your school!

Enjoy lunch on your own in the West End and continue at 1:00 for two hours at the Dallas Holocaust Museum where we will tour the museum exhibits, including the new Anne Frank exhibit and then enjoy a will presentation in the museum’s theater room.
